Spring Break- Day 1

I got to spend the first day of Spring Break doing one of my most favorite things. Dig in dirt. I'm not the best at it, but I learn a little more each year. By the time I'm an old retired person, I'll be a pro! Last year I had 6 planters by the front door. This year I have 10. Do you think I went a little overboard? Oh well. I LOVE my flowers. We also planted the weird little area in the front by the door. It looks a bit odd now because the bush in the center is small. It's an azalea and will grow to by a 4 foot tall shrub that blooms all year! We have had a lot of trouble with this particular area because it gets late afternoon sun and poor drainage. Supposedly these plants will do well with that if we add some acidic soil in the bed. We'll see. I can't wait till my flowers really take root and start cascading over the pots.

It was also a very windy day. We got out the kites and had a little fun in the back yard.
And the biggest news- Kenny voluntarily ate his plate clean at all three meals today without us having to beg him even once!! Sound the trumpets!!!!!!
