Avery's Birthday Party

Last Saturday was my niece, Avery's, first birthday party. (I know- I'm a little behind). It was a luau themed party. And everyone had a great time! Avery's grandma made the little cake in the picture, which Avery daintily ate on until she knocked it onto the floor. I have a few pictures of here in her cute swimsuit, but they are all blurry because this girl doesn't hold still!

We spent the afternoon before the party helping Mike and Ashlyn get things ready. I was actually able to help make the kabobs without throwing up! Yeah!! And Papa was the grill expert as you can see below.
Kenny is our little shark. He LOVES to swim and spent the entire party in the pool. And of course, he never swims without his shark goggles!
Nathan enjoyed swimming as well, but was distracted by the watermelon and some bubbles. Very cute!
