Nathan has a cold and a runny nose. Kenny came up to him in the bathroom while we were giving him cough medicine and said, "Eww....a booger." Nathan replied with great emphasis, "Tenny, it not a cheeseburger!!!"
While Spencer and Margaret were here we got on the topic of nicknames and how both my kids actually use nicknames instead of their given names. Ken said to Kenny, "Your real name is Kenneth Michael." Kenny said, "That's only my name when I'm in trouble."
Kenny was doing what big brothers do best- annoying his little brother for absolutely no reason whatsoever. Nathan finally had enough, turned around, and yelled in his meanest 3-year old baby voice, "Tenny, no Star War movie for you!"
You need a little background info to understand this one. Kenny's school uses a color coded behavior system. Each child has a clip with their name on it and they move the clip depending on their behavior. The codes go as follows:
green: great job
yellow: warning
blue: sad, timeouts
red: removed from classroom to the office
At dinner, we asked Kenny how he did at school. He said, "Well, I just got on yellow." Daddy said, "You're always on yellow." Kenny got very defensive and said, "No, sometimes I'm on blue!"
And this is one of my favorites! Kenny was watching Return of the Jedi and got to the very end when they are celebrating the end of the second death star with the Ewoks. And Luke was sending Darth Vader off into the force with a traditional Jedi funeral. Now Kenny has seen this movie many times, and just at this moment he had a startling epiphany."Heeeeeyyyyy... He's cooking his father!"
Of course everyone within earshot dropped to the floor in laughing fits. Kenny decided to help with situation with further commentary.
"He's probably going to become a Darth Vader marshmallow!"
