He has learned how to smile on purpose. I took about 20 pictures trying to catch his smile, but I missed every time. Here are a few of my attempts. They're still cute.
we had the same problem with Weston. Have you tried turning the "Red Eye" flash off, and just using the autoflash? It's more editing, but then WEston didn't get 2 flashes. He always stopped smiling after the first flash. Now... he poses. :) He's adorable! Enjoy this time together.

You know, the older he gets, the more he looks like Jonny to me. I can't wait to see him again. He's so cute.
