Twisted Ankle...again
I have, yet again, twisted my right ankle. Last spring (2006), I got my ankle stuck in a hole in the backyard and twisted my ankle. About a week later I got the same foot stuck in the same hole again and hurt myself. That hole has since been filled in. However, my right ankle has been weak every since. Normally, it is not a problem, but the first week of June I was out excercising and stepped into a whole and twisted my ankle again. I was not at home, so I had to walk all the way back home on my bum ankle. It took about two weeks to be able to walk on it without shooting pain. I have been very careful with it since then because it still hurts on occasion and I knew it needed time to heal. Last night, I was walking completely normally across my bedroom and suddenly my ankle rolled under my foot. I stepped on it hard and dropped to the floor. Now I haven't cried from pain since I delivered Nathan without an epidural, but I cried for this. It hurt so bad. I wasn't able to walk on it at all last night. I can get around okay today, but I have to use a brace, take a lot of ibrophren, and every step is painful. Lucky for me, I have hurt this ankle so often that it is a pain I am used to by now. If it is not feeling a lot better by tomorrow I am going to a doctor. I just hope this time it can heal fully without re-injury.

Hi Chiara!
I saw a link to your blog on tara's blog...hope it's okay that i blog-hopped! :) I saw your ankle all braced up in nursery but didn't have a chance to ask you about it. I hope it's starting to feel better. I can only imagine how hard it is to have two young kids at home (or many more in nursery)and not be able to get around and keep up with them. Anyway, i just wanted to say hello and confirm to you that your boys are adorable! Talk soon, stacia
You are welcome to look at my blog anytime Stacia. Do you have one?
