Yard Work Part 3

We have been working on landscaping our front yard. We have already had two other installments in this process. To see stage one click here, To see stage two click here. The last and final installment has now arrived and we are very excited!

On Saturday my Dad and I went shopping and bought a bunch of different plants. We planted one of my favorite trees- a crepe myrtle. We also plants some Indian Hawthornes, holly bushes, junipers, and something purple that I can't remember.

I also planted the side yard with a ground cover called Asian Jasmine. It looks WONDERFUL! Kenny and my Dad cut down the cedar tree in the front. It was a nice tree, but it could not have been planted in a worse spot. I am so excited and very gratful to my dad for all he has done. Our house is really starting to shape up and look nice.

Even little Kenny helped. And when he wasn't, he had a great time playing in the window with Landan.

I don't have any pictures from the sidewalk across the front because it has been pouring rain. I post one later as well as the pictures of chopping down the tree.

I love crepe myrtle's too! It love that they will become what you want, just by the way you trim them into shape (or not!) The Asian jasmine... it doesn't grow up? Does it bloom and smell good? Maybe we should try some of that.
