Go Super Thunders!

Kenny LOVES his soccer team. And we were really getting worried there wasn't an athletic bone in his body. They named themselves the Super Thunders. This was taken at his first game- a windy cold April 11th. The family was all in town to see his first game. Ya'll should see him now! He has improved so much and has a real talent for the game. His favorite position is goalie. I'll bring the real camera- not just the cell cameras- to his next game.

So...We're Pretty Busy.

I know, I know. That is always my excuse. But if you will notice, the date I stopped blogging coincides with the date I returned to work. I know this makes me sound wimpy, but I am having a hard time balancing working 40 hours a week, being a mom to 3 boys, a wife, errand runner, housekeeper, chef, laundry expert, etc.

I have missed blogging and reading other's blogs. I have a lot to catch up on and will start with James' blessing. My brother and his family came in from Phoenix so we could bless James and Emma (she is 2 days older) together. My sister and her family also came from Austin. It was a rainy day, but that didn't put a damper on anything. The blessing were beautiful! Poor sweet little never-ever-cries Emma cried through her entire blessing and our overly particular James was an angel during his. I was really afraid it would be the other way around and I am grateful it wasn't. (Sorry Ashlyn.) Afterwards, we went back to our house for an Easter luncheon and egg hunt. It was such a special day and wonderful to have so much family to share it with. (The amazing cake was made by Ashlyn's mother.)

Innocence

We've had lots going on and I've gone back to work. Keep checking back, I promise to blog when I actually get a chance.

In the meantime, here is the sweetest picture of Emma and James.

Sassy

This morning Kenny was watching a cartoon in our bedroom.

Daddy enter room: "Kenny, whatcha doin' bud?"
Kenny says in an exacerbated tone: "What does it look like I'm doing? You're not blind!"

Missing My Flowers

You probably haven't noticed, but it is mid-March and I haven't posted anything about planting an obscene number of flowers or putting in the garden I desperately want to have. Thanks to Hurricane Ike we are getting ready to do some major home renovation projects in the next two months (new siding, fascia, sofit, gutters, shutters, roof, garage ceiling, bedroom window replacement, porch roof, not to mention repainting front door, trim, garage door and reorganizing). We are also looking at getting a new air conditioning unit that actually works properly and pour/lay a new porch since ours is wood and starting to rot (we're scared of getting termites). All this in combination with a newborn means no time or money for a garden or flowers.

And I am MISSING it!! I've keep touturing myself by reading about how a start a garden and looking at stores for good flower prices. I don't know why I keep doing that, but I can't stop! Maybe this fall when things have settled down we can plant a garden. I've already started planning it out. The good thing about living in coastal Texas is you can garden all year.

Until then I will just have to content myself with my one beautiful pot of geraniums that survived the winter.
