Today we had well-child visits for all 3 kids. I missed Nathan's in February. With James being born, everything was a little thrown off.
KENNY
Age: 7 years
Height: 45 inches (a little over 3 1/2 feet)
Weight: 41 lbs.
Other: The doctor said he is on the lower side of average for his height. Weight is obviously low, but his height and weight are proportional.
NATHAN
Age: 4 years
Height: 38 inches
Weight: 31 lbs
Other: Both Nathan and Kenny are not under weight- they are petite. Nathan needs to see a pediatric neurologist about his migraines. They have been increasing in frequency over the year.
JAMES
Age: 6 months
Height: 25 inches (little shorty)
Weight: 16 lbs.
Other: He is growth chart wise the biggest of my kiddos. He is doing great!

My baby is 6 months!
He has two front teeth on the bottom. His favorite food is bananas. He hates rice cereal. He still does not sleep through the night. He gets up between 3-5 times a night. I don't get up with him every time, but he cries for a good 5 minutes and that still keeps me awake. He loves his excersaucer. He has an intense look in his eyes and when he looks at you it feels as if he is peering right into your soul. He is a serious little guy, but he has a beautiful smile.
Here he is with Emma, his cousin two days older than him. CUTE!

One of the Down Sides of Reading
Now that Kenny can read pretty well, he recognizes anything on commercials with the www. in front as a website . And then he tries to look them up. Lucky, he is well screened in what he watches, and we don't have cable so the T.V. is not on very often. And his computer time is limited and locked down. Anyway, he sees these commercials and wants to look up the item and then ask me for it. Not regular kid stuff- strange things.
Yesterday, he asked me for a turbo snake. It was sompletely out of the blue and I didn't undertand what he was refering to so he clarified, "You use it to get hair out of the drain. Here, I'll find the internet site and you can see it."
He has also asked for a Sham Wow and a juicer. And I caught him trying to remember how to spell bowflex.

And now he is SEVEN!
Thursday marked Kenny's 7th birthday! We celebrated with a bowling birthday. I made bowling cupcakes. Kenny was very excited to eat the ball.

Of course we also went bowling. The boys really enjoy bowling. I have to say we are a dismal bunch of bowlers. Daddy won with a 128. Everyone else was in the 70s, and I came in last with a 63. And I was actually trying. The point is they had a great time. Kenny is too small hold the ball properly with his fingers. He goes with a toss the ball down the alley approach. Nathan needed help to push his down the alley. He couldn't get enough power behind the push. About a minute after it left his hand it would get stopped halfway down and we had to get an employee to get the ball.
Papa's job was to take care of little guy. They're so cute!
Yes, that is his own chess game. We got tired to him asking to use our board game set so we got him his own. And yes, he can play chess the right way. And he will be more than happy to teach you how to play if you don't know already.
Happy birthday little man! We hope that this next year will bring you many great things. We look forward to seeing you continue to grow and develop. you are an amazing child with a vivid imagination and a thirst for knowledge. We love you very much!

Baby Lila was blessed on July 5th and my in-laws really wanted Ken to be there. So the boys went to Utah to visit family for a quick weekend. I stayed home and entertained my family with James. Here is a bit of their trip.

The Rest of The Trip
James likes his Eppie.

On Wednesday we all got together to sing at the nursing home. Papa and Aunt Sandi do this every week. We all got a chance to sing that week, including the little boys. They sang "Twinkle Little Star" and "I Am A Child of God." The whole singing thing lasted about an hour. I am so proud of my kids. They were absolute angels. They sat in the chairs quietly and read books or colored. James and I sat next to Mimi. She loved looking at James. At one point she reached her hands out towards him like you do when you are asking to hold a baby. I put James in her arms and she kissed his head and talked to him a bit. Then she held my hand in her lap and played with it for a little while. Papa tried doing a harmonica song for the first time. the instant he began playing the harmonica Mimi sat straight up, smiled brightly, and started clapping. The music really spoke to her.
Back at Sandi's house the boys had fun playing. They went swimming, painted sun catchers, built a city with blocks, and walked around in play high heels. Good times...
